The Light Group GmbH is a Norwegian developer and producer of technical LED lighting for the professional market. With over 30 years of experience, we are proud to say that we know the lighting industry! We constantly work on developing more powerful, efficient and cost-effective LED light fixtures. It all started in 1991 when Yngvar Rønning and his parents established Lyskomponenter AS in 1991. Over the years the company transformed into a professional supplier of lighting products. It has been renowned for a wide and innovative product range, vast supplier network and technical expertise. Thanks to market knowledge and insight into LED-technologies the company decided to develop its own products under SLC and Quick Install brands. As a result of the great success and prospects of furter growth The Light Group was founded in 2014 as a holding company. From the very start The Light Group`s focus has been development, production and marketing of its own branded products for the European market. Lyskomponenter has grown to be one of the leading suppliers of technical lighting products in Norway.
The Light Group today consists of The Light Group GmbH and Lyskomponenter AS. The Light Group GmbH serves European customers, while Lyskomponenter covers the Norwegian market. Through nearly 30 years of experience we have acquired financial strength, technological expertise and innovative mindset. We think of the whole value chain, from the Light planner to the installer and end user.
Thanks to the 25 years experience of The Light Group AS (Norway) in professional lighting, we have already established good business relationships in sales and production and we would like to expand these within Europe. Our products are focussed on the needs of customers and developed in accordance with the latest LED technology. All our products have 5 years warranty.
Our brands include SLC (Scandinavian Lighting Concept), QI (Quick Install) and GF design.
The SLC brand for the professional lighting market with focus on LED strips with all the possibilities that this product offers in combination with controls. SLC products are suitable e.g. for use in hotels, offices and shops as well as for similar applications.
The luminaires of the QI brand have been developed by electricians for electricians and are designed especially for use in the home. We focus on high quality products with good looking design and for a quick installation.
Gunnar Fjellestadt is a well-known lighting designer in Norway and also moderator of the popular Norwegian TV show "Tid for Hjem". Together with us he has designed tasteful and high-quality recessed luminaires. Gunnar Fjellestad's idea was to design an assortment of recessed luminaires, using all the possibilities of the LED for design and light output.
