Our patented ThermoChannel™ design for upwash/downwash lighting delivers excellent mechanical stability and rigidity for simplified mounting and installation. We offer a wide range of color temperatures, from the warmest to the coolest whites. We can color-match your samples of cold cathode lighting. Exterior lighting is critical to the safe operation of aircraft. Heads Up Technologies provides customers with LED exterior lights to improve pilot situational awareness and reduce the potential of a collision. Highly reliable LED systems improve pilot visibility during critical phases of flight, with reduced energy consumption compared to traditional aircraft lighting technology. Heads Up offers full shipset exterior LED lighting systems including anti-collision lighting, flood, and landing lights, as well as navigation lights. Our solutions are lightweight and provide longevity and reliability in the toughest conditions such as high temperatures, electro-magnetic interference, vibrations, and shock resulting in reduced maintenance and operating costs over the life of the aircraft.
All of Heads Up’s products are designed completely in-house, giving us an unparalleled level of control of our engineering data over the entire product life cycle. Analog and Digital electronic design, schematic capture, PWB layout, simulation, mechanical engineering, 3D modeling, thermal analysis, software development, system engineering, industrial design, and production engineering are just some of the engineering skills you will find at Heads Up.
Our products are manufactured at our Carrollton, Texas facility, which houses our PWA assembly, automated conformal coating, wire harness assembly, CNC and laser machining centers, automated test equipment, environmental stress screening, procurement, inventory management, and production planning operations.
Our dedicated Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) capabilities ensure mature product reliability. In-house DO160 Environmental test lab provides schedule flexibility and guaranteed performance.
All our products are compliant with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254. Heads Up holds numerous STC’s, PMA’s and is an FAA- approved manufacturing and repair facility.
