Allied Maker is a Long Island-based design and manufacturing studio established in 2013 by designer Ryden Rizzo. Every piece is handcrafted in Allied Maker’s workshop and in collaboration with the best New York fabricators. Allied Maker is committed to manufacturing high-quality and long-lasting lighting made in the USA.
Inspired by raw materials that grow more beautiful with time, Allied Maker utilizes a hand-applied blackening process and brass that will develop a beautiful patina with use. We start our process with outstanding raw materials like thick gauge brass, solid American hardwoods, and hand-blown glass. Our parts are individually finished by hand to create a signature quality standard. Utilizing natural patinas such as oxidizing brass and fuming oak; our finishes are richly textured and grow more beautiful with use.
The company was started in 2012 as a garage woodworking studio tucked away on the North Shore of Long Island. Principals Lanette and Ryden Rizzo were neighbors at the time, and have built Allied Maker into their dream design studio with a strong manufacturing backbone.
Today, Allied Maker’s lighting fixtures can be seen in boutique hotels, residential and commercial projects worldwide and has been featured in publications such as Elle Decor, Dwell, Architectural Digest, NY Magazine and Domaine Home.
