For many decades Oshino Lamps has held an enviable position in the automotive and aerospace industries as a quality manufacturer and supplier of filament, gas-filled and LED illuminated products. More notably so within aerospace as the OL prefix has provided reassurance to the worldwide aerospace community with a market leading range of high quality competitively priced lamps.

Oshino Lamps was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1931 by Masashi Oshino, a pioneering engineer in the early design/development of incandescent filament lamp technology. His designs and subsequent products were used in bicycle lamps and Christmas tree lighting. Today we are a leading supplier of sub-miniature lamps to the US/Asian/European aerospace and automotive industries. We hold Cage Code No S3774 and will certify lamps, where applicable, to US Military Standards and specifications and other international norms such as DIN, IEC and JIS. Our “OL” trademark has therefore become synonymous with dependability, high quality and reliability.

Following the incorporation of Oshino Lamps GmbH in 1978 the UK office was established in Nottingham in 1979 to service the UK automotive and aerospace industries with our range of incandescent filament lamps. We hold Cage Code No U3909. Our UK base is still in Nottingham.

Oshino Lamps America Ltd was established in 2013 and is based in Waukesha, Wisconsin where we provide direct sales and technical support to our aerospace, automotive and industry customers in the US, Canada and South America.

As a lighting engineering and manufacturing company supporting multiple industries with quality sub-miniature/miniature lamps, sealed beams, neon and halogen lamps, fluorescent tubes, LEDs and filament to LED conversions, we are a lighting resource you can trust. We hold Cage Code No 7LMR0. Our sub-miniature and miniature lamps have been a worldwide favourite of the aerospace community for many decades and are listed on the IPC at Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer. Interior mood and task lighting has become "in vogue" in many executive vehicles and Oshino has been at the forefront of this exciting development. Our broad range of LED signage products cover the vast majority of applications where LED lighting is needed and includes specialised LED modules for flex faced and acrylic faced sign boxes, built-up letters, edge lighting for both single and double sided boxes as well as new flexible ribbon-like products suitable for a multitude of applications. Oshino NDIR lamps provide high IR output, accurate filament position, small size long lifetime, and a low thermal time constant.

Our technical expertise extends beyond lighting components to complementary products such optical light guides, lighting modifications and improvements, lighting product development, injection moulded assemblies and new lighting product development.

We design our own state of the art production and production test equipment and extensive Statistical Process Controls (SPC) are used during manufacturing. In addition, our modern environmental test equipment enables us to perform continuous research in to our materials and product designs.
