Fael Luce is a leading company in supplying innovative and sustainable lighting systems. We study and realize professional lighting systems for big and urban areas, sports facilities, industrial and commercial infrastructures, streets and roadways. Established in 1965, headquartered in Agrate Brianza (Italy), FAEL Luce experienced a vast development, that allowed it to be present in many markets worldwide, where the export rate reaches 80% of the production.

Fael Luce Spa is headquartered close to Milan, where the commercial and administrative offices are located. The plant uses the most modern machinery for the manufacture of the entire product range. The Company has high production possibilities, and a considerable stock of ready goods. The production process is performed entirely in-house and all finished and semi-finished products are made in Italy.

All Fael LUCE luminaires use the most updated LED technology available on the market. This particular attention towards the best light source, together with the high aesthetic value and design of the individual luminaires, distinguish the Fael LUCE lighting solution for its high technical and qualitative characteristics. The reliability and efficiency of Fael LUCE products, carefully designed and internally tested, allow them to be used in various application areas. Communication routes, historical centers, monuments and architectural details will be highlighted thanks to this new and fascinating technology combined with the impeccable design developed by Fael LUCE.

Fael lighting fixtures are designed to provide excellent dissipation of the heat produced by the LEDs, consequently extending the life of the fixture without altering its performance. This heat dissipation is accomplished thanks to lighting systems designed in-house, utilizing thermal interfaces and superconductors, as well as next generation LEDs with low heat resistance, which thus generate less heat. The LEDs are mounted on a patented aluminum printed circuit with a dielectric ceramic, guaranteeing excellent heat dissipation and known as an MCPCB (Metal Core Printed Circuit Board), developed in-house, using the “pick and place” system. The dielectric material retains both its electrical insulating capacity and its thermal conductivity unaltered over time. The thermal interfaces between the LED layers and the bodies are selected with low thermal resistance. Studies of the materials and constant testing during the design stage resulted in highly efficient devices that minimize the temperatures at which the LEDs function. The Fael LUCE Design department also utilizes advanced thermal simulation software, which contributes to optimizing performance by identifying the best solutions for achieving the desired objective.

The optical system represents the heart of every lighting fixture. LAB•Light constantly and precisely carries out studies of the LED’s secondary optics, drawing on experience accrued over almost 50 years of activity in the illumination engineering sector. In the daily work, the purpose that guides Fael’s technical staff is twofold: to illuminate adequately based on international lighting legislation and in full respect of the environment. The optics are made with first choice technical materials, such as high quality technopolymers or high purity 99.9% aluminum. All the luminaires are equipped with extra clear tempered glass which guarantees the protection of the optical unit, maintaining its efficiency over time, as well as easy maintenance of the appliance. These materials, skilfully used in the lighting fixtures, maintain the high optical efficiency and durability, minimizing yellowing and maintaining high optical transmission. The optical systems developed by Fael LUCE are able to maximize the luminous flux in relation to the visual task to be performed, reducing the use of electrical power, as well as using technologies capable of optimizing the life cycle.

For a greater flexibility and interactivity, Fael LUCE luminaires can be equipped with a power supply set up for remote control which can take place via an external or internal device. These solutions are defined as point-to-point as each light source is able to communicate with the gateway of the lighting system. The gateways, mounted inside the electrical panels near the lighting system, exchange information via the GSM network to the central server, thus laying the foundations for the development of a Smart City. Point-to-point solutions integrate perfectly with all smart peripherals (such as video cameras, motion sensors, presence detectors, etc.) allowing lighting to play a primary role in the connectivity network.

An open approach towards interoperable standards is the right direction for the development of new technologies and the creation of customized solutions perfectly in line with real needs. Open standards offer the Customer the freedom to choose among the best solutions available on the market in that particular moment, avoiding the so-called lock-in phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs when an user has invested in a technology that has proved to be inferior and potentially more efficient to others available, but he considers burdensome to change it at that moment. This is why Fael LUCE in its lighting proposal offers maximum applicability, relying on collaboration with the most important market technological players to always offer the best technological solution.

Fael LUCE, in collaboration with the most important technological players on the market, offers WISE SYSTEM. The system can integrate and communicate with other technologies capable of creating a two-way communication network on the basis of which it is possible to enable a series of additional services that make the city, for all employees, smart, for the benefit of users and public administrations. Fael LUCE luminaires integrated with third-party devices create integrated platforms that, starting from the lighting network, promote innovation in cities, industrial structures, large areas and sports facilities, expanding the offer of public utility services. The light source become smart nodes that allow the integration of different technologies and interactive functions aimed at the development of modern and sustainable cities.

Fael products are prevalent in the world as they are appreciated for engineering, ease of installation, maintenance, durability. To keep these winning characteristics, the entire production is located in Italy, at the plant based in Agrate, that works fast, with precision and efficiency in the industry 4.0.

Every year, we make important investments in new technologies and automation: from the innovative powder application booths to the automated warehouse where robotic systems supply the batches according to the production plan, our production lines are increasingly interconnected and digitized.

Quality is our way of working. A systemic approach that concerns processes, products, technologies with the aim of controlling the entire production chain: from the choice of materials and components to the assembly of systems and final tests.
