Loading dock lights are wall or ceiling mounted industrial-grade task lights designed to illuminate tractor trailers along the entire length of the loading area. The adjustable illumination provided by these fixtures helps create a productive, safe, and OHSA compliant working environment during loading and unloading. The luminaire is mounted on a hinged swing arm via an adjustable bracket, providing both vertical and horizontal arm adjustment to direct light where it is needed.

A variety of arm designs are available with arm lengths ranging from 2 to 10 feet. Commonly used loading dock light arms are single strut and double strut types. Multi-articulating arms offer multiple bend points to provide enhanced flexibility and adjustability.

Loading dock lights are installed in industrial, manufacturing and warehousing facilities. They typically feature a heavy-duty design for abusive applications. The luminaire is an integrated LED system with the light engine encased in a thermally conductive, shock-resistant housing. It produces a controlled beam of light in a narrow beam spread for spotlighting or wider light distribution for floodlighting. The LED module and optics are protected by a thermal-, shock-, and impact-resistant tempered glass lens.

LED dock lights are generally self-ballasted with an integral constant current LED driver. Lighting controls are often installed to operate the LED driver, allowing the luminaire to deliver light based on occupancy status and daylight levels.
