LED Optics
With small size and optical directionality, LEDs afford lighting system designers an opportunity to create a great variety of optical arrangements through the use of secondary optics. The optical system of an LED luminaire or lamp serves to change the distribution, regulation or distraction of luminous flux from the LEDs. LED secondary optics are designed to achieve the desired distribution of light across the target area with the least possible optical losses and highest possible visual comfort. LED secondary optics include lenses, reflectors, refractors, and diffusers.
