JoBe Lighting GmbH is a manufacturer of Beckstone paver lights. The natural look and feel of our products with concrete like and natural stone like surface texture integrate perfectly with the overall landscape and streetscape design. Installing lights is always an intervention in townscape appearance in daylight. In most cases streetscape and landscape design is trying to avoid intrisic effects of the installed lighting fixtures. Beckstone opens the door for marking hazordous edges and applying long light lines in urban spaces, especially at historic sites, around monuments and in modern archticture, without disturbing the overall design approach.

Beckstone works like a pavestone. Standard installation is done without a mortar joint or any metall fitting along paving the concrete pavers, patio plates or cobble stones, creating an even interlocking surface. The unique solid block design of Beckstone has a favorable pricing and installation is as easy as paving. Low operational costs of LED-technology enables long continued dotted light lines that lead to a comfortable sense of space for pedestrians and drivers at night time. Dotted lines of light along the curb of bus stops and other high-traffic areas protect inattentive pedestrians and especially visually impaired people against tripping and falling.

The solid design gives Beckstone a high protection against vandalism and theft. There are no screws any other gaps that could be opened. Even if there are some chippings on the surface or the side Beckstone keeps running with the completely casted LED-module. So there is usually no need for exchange of the luminaire. The clear top-body has a bottom-body of polymer concrete. The edge of the wider bottom part protects Beckstone against the impacts from surrounding pavers. Beckstone can be driven over with up to 20 mph without a mortar joint.

Beckstones have built-in LED-drivers to compensate for voltage drop in long installation legs. Installations in one leg can be designed up to 100 yards. With this design the AC/DC power supply can be placed remotely in nearby streetlamp housings and junction boxes. The safe 12V d.c. low voltage lighting technology makes it possible to run the cable in the bedding of the pavestone installation.

Beckstone does not need additional installation procedures. It is paved with the surrounding interlocking pavers, grouted and compacted with a vibrating plate like the pavestones.
