RIDI Group is one of the leading manufacturers of technical luminaires in Europe. A product spectrum of proven luminaire models, continuous development of new technologies and customer-centric design of bespoke luminaire models all set RIDI apart as a quality manufacturer. RIDI implements every size and type of light planning project, from the simplest solution through to highly complex lighting control systems.

RIDI Leuchten began production of its first kitchen light fittings back in 1957. Over the years, RIDI has grown and evolved to become a key player in the industry. Today, RIDI is ideally placed with several producing locations in Germany and Poland, subsidiaries across Europe and a large number of representations in Germany and Europe-wide.

RIDI's Jungingen location encompasses a production area of around 35,000 square metres and is also the company headquarters. The focus of production in Jungingen is on louvre luminaires, lighting systems, architectural lighting and special luminaires. A wide range of luminaire components are also produced here for the company’s plants in Zeuthen und Rellingen. The 2,800 square metres of the Rellingen site are set aside exclusively for production of the RIDI LINEA continuous lighting system. Because of the high piece numbers involved, the processes used to manufacture these products are largely automated. The Zeuthen production centre manufactures diffuser luminaires, pendant luminaires and continuous lighting systems over an area of 15,000 square metres.

Looking to the future, in Jungingen an LED department has been established which is dedicated exclusively to the development of LEDS, non-standard production and in-house LED fittings. With its own LED fitting plant, RIDI is now in a position to produce its own in-house adapted LED modules to address the growing demands made on lighting technology and design. The LED fitting facilities enable RIDI to mount conductors, fit LEDs and subsequently solder individual modules to create different creations, luminous intensities and light colours.

Following integration of the Spectral and li:fy brands, the RIDI product range now encompasses everything from technical luminaires and functional continuous lighting systems to design-oriented lighting sculptures and living room lighting concepts.

The Spectral brand, which enjoyed a prestigious reputation among architectural circles, was acquired in 2010 and is being continuously extended. Spectral stands for lighting with the emphasis on design and architecture, making it the ideal addition to the product portfolio. Here too, LED technology has lent a hugely important innovative impetus.

The li:fy product line provides high-end light fittings for private use, hotels, old people's homes, student accommodation or stylish offices. The product range is supplemented by unique one-off pieces made of high-grade glass. These are light fittings designed to create a pleasant mood, as well as adding a design feature in their own right.

RIDI leads by example when it comes to environmental responsibility. The company building at the Jungingen location is air conditioned and heated using regenerative energy. This is even used to power the powder coating plant. This energy is supplied by BEK Bioenergie Killertal GmbH, which installed a biomass power plant opposite the RIDI company site in 2011. The power plant’s biggest single customer, RIDI uses the generated heat to provide carbon-neutral air conditioning and heating for its premises, making a key contribution to reducing carbon emissions and slowing down climate change.

With its three brands RIDI, Spectral and li:fy, the RIDI company group provides its customers with outstanding technical expertise, coupled with a consistent marketing structure. RIDI stands for large-volume series production as well as bespoke craftsmanship - all made possible by an impressive depth of manufacture, extremely innovative investment management and an aspirational approach to quality at the highest level.

Ultra-modern, ultra-flexible production facilities manufacture completely formed and edged luminaire housings and assemblies as well as punched blanks, small components and accessories from a range of different raw material formats.

The highly automated production processes in place guarantee an excellent and consistent standard of product quality. Depending on the part, piece numbers range between one and several hundred thousand. We manufacture both to customer order and also for stock.

RIDI opens up possibilities through customer focus, individuality, sustainability, quality awareness, innovation and technological excellence.
