Hatch Lighting

Hatch Transformers was founded in 1985 to design and manufacture electronic compact fluorescent ballasts and electronic low voltage transformers for the lighting industry. At the time, virtually all non-incandescent lamps were powered by heavy and inefficient magnetic power supplies.

With its first products launching in 1985, Hatch was one of only two companies manufacturing electronic transformers for these two new burgeoning lighting markets. Original circuits for both of these product lines were developed in Tampa by Michael Hatch and manufactured locally.

In the early 1990s, manufacturing was moved to southern China to keep pace with the growth of the company. In 2010, we began development of a complete line of advanced LED drivers. Over the next decade, the Hatch catalog of LED drivers has grown to several hundred SKUs, covering a full array of lighting applications.

After almost four decades in business and two generations of leadership, our mission has remained the same: to design innovative lighting technologies that excite engineers and enable them to create amazing, energy-efficient lighting products. Today, we offer a full range of LED Drivers, Emergency Lighting Products, Surge Protection Devices, Ballasts and Transformers to meet the needs of the ever-evolving lighting industry.
