On October 11, 2024, Nichia Corporation ("Nichia") filed Patent Infringement Lawsuits in Germany in the Düsseldorf Local Division of the European Unified Patent Court (UPC) and the Munich District Court against Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH ("Endrich"), a German electronic components distributor, for selling certain automotive LED products manufactured by Malaysia-based LED manufacturer Dominant Opto Technologies Sdn. A new version of the NVSW519A-V1 portfolio has been added, featuring a TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) of 90 and a color rendering index of Ra ≥ 90 and R9 ≥ 50 with enhanced efficiency. TLCI is an indicator that quantifies the color reproduction of illuminated objects when they are projected on a display through a camera. Video and images taken under high TLCI lighting have higher color reproducibility than those taken under ordinary LED lighting, allowing users to enjoy natural, vivid, and beautiful images on TVs, PCs, and smartphone screens.
