AC-DC LED Drivers

An AC-DC LED driver rectifies commercial AC power into DC power and then performs switching or linear operation to convert the rectified DC power into a predetermined magnitude of DC power. When compared to DC-DC devices, AC-DC power conversion imposes additional considerations on power factor correction, ripple suppression, galvanic isolation, AC line surge protection.
