Drone lights are battery powered LED lights mounted on an unmanned aircraft to provide visibility for the aircraft itself and to illuminate a specific area/object for the remote pilot and other users. They include, but not limited to, anti-collision lights, navigation lights, searchlights, and scene lights. Anti-collision lights produce high-intensity light in aviation red or aviation white, 360° around the drone’s vertical axis. A searchlight is a spotlight designed to produce an approximately parallel beam of light for search-and-rescue missions. The intense, far reaching beam pierces the darkness to ensure long range visibility. Scene lights are used to illuminate specific geometric areas for temporary lighting applications. Searchlights and scene lights are high power LED systems that produce a substantial volume of lumens.
