The MIR G2 is a robust, watertight LED luminaire designed for surface mounting in demanding environments. As part of the MULTI family, it is built to perform reliably in industrial settings where conditions may include humidity, cold, heat, or sterility. It is also well-suited for coastal and marine environments, making it a dependable lighting solution for a wide range of challenging applications. Engineered for durability, MIR G2 supports operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +45°C.
The luminaire offers lumen outputs ranging from 2,500 to 11,000 and features a standard color temperature of 4000 K with a CRI of Ra 80 and a MacAdams 3 color consistency. Additional color temperatures of 3000 K, 5000 K, and 6500 K are available upon request. The driver options include fixed output (HF) and DALI dimmable (10–100%), with a lifetime of up to 120,000 hours (at 25°C with a 10% maximum failure rate). Emergency lighting systems are also supported, including Standard, Self-Test, DALI addressable, and Wireless Radio Self-Test, with variants available in marine-approved models.
Mounting configurations are highly adaptable. The luminaire comes with fixed end brackets, triangle suspension, or dual M8 hood nuts. A variety of suspension types can be installed through the M8 hood nuts, including rod, tube, pole, cable bridge, side, and vibration suspensions. Horizontal wire brackets and revolvable brackets can also be used in combination with the fixed end brackets. Flexible CC M8 hood nuts and custom suspensions are available upon request.
Cable entry options range from one to four cable glands in polyamide or nickel-plated brass, accommodating cable diameters from 4 mm to 18 mm. The luminaire includes a 5-pole, 6 mm² screw terminal block, with variants supporting 5 x 2.5 mm² through-wiring.
The housing is available in aluminium/zinc-treated steel or acid-proof steel, with a white epoxy/polyester powder coated finish or an unpainted acid-proof steel option. The diffuser is constructed from impact-proof frosted polycarbonate (FR/PC) or modified impact-resistant frosted acrylic (FR/KEM), sealed with a one-piece, silicone-free gasket. Clips are made from acid-proof steel to ensure long-term resilience.
MIR G2 is also available with integrated industrial-grade PIR sensors for wireless communication (CHW-SEN), which form part of the Glamox wireless monitoring system. Additional accessories include various suspension kits for customized installations.
