The MIL G2 is a durable and energy-efficient industrial LED luminaire, specifically engineered for environments with extremely low ambient temperatures down to -40ºC. As a member of the watertight MULTI G2 family—alongside the MIR G2, MIX G2, and MAX G2 models—MIL G2 is ideal for refrigerated facilities, cold storage areas, and freezer rooms. Designed to offer longevity and minimal maintenance, it delivers excellent overall operational economy.
The luminaire housing is constructed from acid-proof stainless steel or aluminium/zinc-treated steel with a white epoxy/polyester powder-coated finish. An unpainted acid-proof steel version is also available for added corrosion resistance. It comes with a frosted, impact-resistant polycarbonate diffuser that meets V0 self-extinguishing standards. A one-piece silicone-free gasket and stainless steel clips ensure a watertight seal. Maintenance is simplified thanks to a hinged gear tray with a quick connector, enabling quick and easy access to internal components.
MIL G2 delivers between 2500 and 7500 lumens, with color temperature options of 3000K or 4000K, CRI Ra 80, and MacAdams 3 color consistency. The luminaire can be surface-mounted using fixed end brackets, triangle suspension, or M8 hood nuts. It also supports rod, pole, tube, cable bridge, side, and vibration suspension options. Flexible center-to-center M8 hood nut configurations and special suspensions are available upon request.
The driver is offered in a fixed output (HF) configuration and boasts a long operational life of up to 120,000 hours at a maximum failure rate of 10% when used at Ta 25°C. Cable entry is flexible, accommodating 1 to 4 cable glands in M20 or M25 sizes, available in polyamide or nickel-plated brass to suit different cable diameters. Electrical connections are made through a 5-pole, 6 mm² screw terminal block, with variants also available that support 5 x 2.5 mm² through wiring for streamlined installation across multiple fixtures.
