The Glamox A55-W is a wall-mounted bedhead luminaire specifically designed for patient rooms in healthcare environments. Combining essential functionality with a welcoming, home-like appearance, it supports both patient comfort and clinical requirements. The luminaire’s curved shape and slanted top are thoughtfully designed to prevent objects from being placed on top, promoting safety and hygiene while complying with the EN 60598-2-25 standard. It also offers flexible power configurations, accommodating up to four 230V sockets with optional low-voltage outlets to meet diverse patient and equipment needs.
Constructed with a durable aluminum profile and a steel base finished in powder coating, the A55-W features a mounting frame made of corrosion-resistant aluzinc. Its up and down diffusers are crafted from acrylic material that resists detergents and disinfecting agents, making it ideal for daily hospital cleaning routines. The luminaire is surface-mounted directly onto the wall, providing a stable and clean installation without the need for recessed housing.
The A55-W utilizes high-efficiency LED light sources, offering separate (SEP) up and down lighting to create a balanced, ambient atmosphere in the patient room. Available in two lengths—926 mm and 1226 mm—the luminaire delivers an output range of 4500 to 7000 lumens depending on the model. It supports color temperatures of 3000 K or 4000 K with a CRI of 80, and a CRI 90 option is available upon request. The 926 mm version can also be configured with tunable white (CCT) upon request. LEDs are rated with a long service life of up to 100,000 hours at 25°C and deliver consistent quality with a MacAdams 3 color tolerance.
Electrical connections are made through a central 3/5 pole push-in terminal block, designed for through wiring to simplify installation in continuous runs. The A55-W is equipped with a DALI-compatible driver as standard, enabling integration into modern lighting control systems for dimming and system-wide management.
