The Glamox O10-S290 is a vandal-resistant LED bulkhead light designed for both ceiling and wall installation, making it suitable for residential and commercial environments. Typical applications include facades, staircases, and entrance areas where durable, reliable lighting is essential. The luminaire features a housing made of die-cast aluminium combined with an impact-resistant opal polycarbonate diffuser, rated IK10+ for enhanced protection against impacts. It comes in three distinct designs—eyelid, cross, or standard—and is available in three colors: black, white, or aluminium grey.
Equipped with either a fixed output or DALI dimmable AC LED driver, the O10-S290 offers smooth light modulation at a frequency of 100 Hz. It can also be supplied with an emergency lighting system for added safety. The LED light source delivers between 500 and 1000 lumens, with color temperatures of 3000 K or 4000 K, maintaining a CRI of Ra 80 and MacAdam ellipse of 3 for accurate and consistent color rendering.
This luminaire includes several integrated sensor options to optimize energy use and functionality. The twilight sensor (STA-SEN) controls the light based on daylight, switching it on or off accordingly. The microwave twilight sensor (SMA-SEN) adds presence detection with a five-minute hold time, also depending on daylight conditions. The microwave twilight sensor with corridor function (SMM-SEN) provides full illumination during presence, dims to 10% after 10 minutes of absence, and switches off after an additional 10 minutes. This sensor supports master-slave configurations of up to 11 luminaires with five masters, covering corridor lengths of approximately 35 meters.
For electrical connection, the O10-S290 uses a 5-pole 2.5 mm² push-in terminal block designed for through wiring. When used outdoors, it is essential to employ suitable flexible cables to ensure the water tightness of the membrane gland, preserving the luminaire’s integrity and performance.
