The Glamox D70 is a sophisticated downlight family built with state-of-the-art LED technology. Recognizing the high demands of powerful LEDs, the design prioritizes functionality and efficient heat management to extend the product’s lifetime, delivering a durable and high-quality lighting solution. The versatility of the D70 family is evident in its multiple applications, supported by various component housing heights, reflector options, and decorative trims, allowing for tailored lighting designs.
Planning is simplified with the universal Linect® quick connection system, which ensures easy and safe electrical connections while enhancing design flexibility throughout all project phases. To secure the downlight firmly in place, the D70 is anchored using allen key or hexagonal bits, which are included with the product. During building phases, the downlight is protected by a dust cover. The D70-R195 model offers both symmetrical light distribution options (SI/SM/SF reflectors) and an asymmetrical option with the R195 XA Wall Washer reflector.
The D70 range comes in three sizes: ø92, ø155, and ø195. The ø155 model is available with two different component housing heights, making it suitable for installations in ceilings with limited space. Emergency lighting options are available for the R155, RF155, and R195 models, providing added safety with standard emergency systems.
Light source options vary by model: the R92 delivers between 700 and 900 lumens, the RF155 ranges from 1100 to 1400 lumens, the R155 offers 1100 to 2100 lumens, and the R195 provides between 1400 and 3000 lumens. Colour temperatures are primarily 3000 or 4000 Kelvin, with CRI 80 as standard and CRI 90 available on request. The R195 can also feature tunable white (CCT) on demand, all with a MacAdams 3 colour consistency. LED lifetime is rated up to 100,000 hours at 25°C ambient temperature.
Connection options for the R155, RF155, and R195 include Linect® quick connections as standard, with 3- or 5-pole 2.5 mm² push-in terminal blocks designed for through wiring. Integrated chord anchorage accommodates various cable sizes and plastic electric tubing. The R195 XA Wall Washer version features a 3- or 5-pole 1.5 mm² mains terminal and chord anchorage on an external driver box. The R92 also offers 3- or 5-pole 2.5 mm² push-in terminal blocks with integrated chord anchorage for flexible wiring.
The downlight’s ingress protection rating is IP20 from the upper side. The body features a reflector housing made of diecast aluminium with a metallized polycarbonate reflector, while the driver housing is polycarbonate. Trim rings are available in white or chrome finishes. Drivers include fixed output (HF) and DALI dimmable options with a dimming range from 100% to 1%. The D70-R92 models offer variants with DALI and Dim-to-Warm (D2W) light sources, enabling dimming from 2700 to 1800 Kelvin. Driver lifetimes reach up to 100,000 hours at 25°C ambient temperature with 10% maximum failure.
Optic choices for the R155, RF155, and R195 reflectors include matte (SM) and high gloss (SI) finishes, with white (WH) and black matte (BM) options available upon request. The R195 XA Wall Washer reflector is offered in high gloss (SI). For the R92, reflectors come in medium beam (MB) or narrow beam (NB) options with faceted high gloss finishes.
Mounting is straightforward, utilizing integral adjustable brackets operated by the supplied 3mm Allen key or hexagonal bit, ensuring quick and secure installation.
