The ViaCon LED from TRILUX is a highly efficient and durable LED catenary luminaire designed specifically for road lighting and industrial outdoor areas. Engineered to ensure safety and visibility in public spaces, this luminaire is ideal for use above traffic routes, particularly when suspended laterally over carriageways. It is designed for catenary mounting and requires a separate wire suspension system made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester, available as an accessory.
The luminaire features a sophisticated optical system based on Multi-Lens Technology. Its optic comprises highly efficient, UV- and temperature-resistant lens components that deliver a symmetric wide beam distribution. Other beam characteristics can be configured to meet customer-specific lighting requirements, making the system highly adaptable and application-oriented.
At the core of the ViaCon LED is a high-performance LED module with a fixed luminous flux of 13,500 lumens and a neutral white light color at 4000 K. The system operates at a connected load of 86 W, achieving a luminous efficacy of up to 157 lm/W. The luminaire ensures long-term performance stability with Constant Lumen Output (CLO) technology, maintaining luminous flux throughout its lifetime. The color rendering index exceeds Ra 70, with an initial MacAdam tolerance of ≤ 5 SDCM. Additional LED light colors are available on request. It boasts a long service life of L80 (at 25 °C) = 100,000 hours. Importantly, the light source is replaceable, in compliance with the EU’s Ecodesign Regulation (VO (EU) 2019/2020).
Constructed from robust die-cast aluminum, the luminaire body features a durable surface coating in anthracite, similar to RAL 703. The design meets safety class II requirements (EN 61140), carries an ingress protection rating of IP66 (DIN EN 60529), and an impact resistance rating of IK06 (IEC 62262), ensuring protection against harsh environmental conditions. It is tested for hot wire resistance up to 650 °C and suitable for ambient temperatures up to 25 °C. The unit weighs 8.4 kg.
Electrically, the ViaCon LED is equipped with a switchable electronic transformer, and its control gear is also replaceable according to Ecodesign requirements. The luminaire includes robust surge protection of 6 kV in Differential Mode and 10 kV in Common Mode. It fully complies with all applicable EU directives and safety regulations, and bears both the CE mark and ENEC certification from an independent testing authority.
With a direct light emission profile and a symmetric wide (SB) light distribution, the ViaCon LED provides consistent illumination that enhances safety in urban and industrial environments.
