Designed for easy installation, the C64-R mounts recessed from below in both modular and plasterboard ceilings. The luminaire features a cover made from either 4mm heat soak tested glass or 4mm polycarbonate, both engineered to be smooth and gap-free, preventing the accumulation of bacteria and dust. The glass cover is especially robust, able to withstand frequent cleaning with strong agents, while the polycarbonate option is ideal for areas where glass is unsuitable, such as food processing facilities.
The C64-R boasts high ingress protection with an IP65 rating from the room side and IP54 from above. This is achieved through extensive sealing with gaskets between the steel housing, the ceiling, and the aluminum frame and cover, ensuring durability and resistance to contaminants. Its microprismatic optics deliver high efficiency, excellent light output, and low glare, creating a soft luminance transition that enhances the room’s overall appearance. For applications requiring superior color accuracy, the luminaire is also available with a high color rendering index (CRI 90).
To meet the strict safety requirements of psychiatric wards and prisons, the C64-R can be supplied with anti-ligature properties. The IK10-rated polycarbonate cover is secured with screws, and the luminaire has no gaps or protrusions where ligatures could be attached. Energy efficiency is supported through compatibility with all Glamox hardwired light management systems, enabling lighting adjustments based on presence detection and daylight availability to save costs. The luminaire’s LED light source provides output ranging from 4000 to 7500 lumens, available in 3000K or 4000K color temperatures, with CRI options of 80 or 90 and MacAdams 3 color consistency. It supports tuneable white (CCT) and blue-blocked light (BBL) variants. The standard optical setup includes a 4mm heat-soaked glass cover in front of microprismatic optics, while the IK10 version uses a clear polycarbonate front. The driver options include high-frequency (HF) or DALI, with a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours at Ta 25°C.
Mounting is performed from below, suitable for modular and plasterboard ceilings. The body is constructed from white painted steel and carries an IP65 rating. Emergency lighting options are available, including standard, self-test, or DALI systems with 1 or 3 hours duration.
