Designed specifically for recessed ceiling applications with cavity dimensions of at least 35 mm, the Inplana LED downlight installs easily into cut-out ceiling openings using tool-free rapid-mounting springs. For concrete ceilings, dedicated accessories are available to facilitate installation. The downlight requires a circular cut-out with a diameter of 420 mm and a minimal recess depth of just 45 mm, supporting streamlined integration even in shallow ceiling cavities.
The luminaire features a translucent PMMA cover that delivers Lambertian light distribution with a broad 104° beam angle. This optical design ensures a mainly direct light output while also producing subtle ceiling illumination that softens visual contrast and enhances spatial aesthetics. The result is a harmonious, evenly diffused lighting effect that supports visual clarity and comfort.
The integrated LED system delivers a fixed luminous flux of 5000 lumens at a power consumption of 38 watts, resulting in an exceptional luminous efficacy of up to 132 lm/W. Operating at a neutral white color temperature of 4000 K with a high color rendering index (CRI) of over 80, the downlight ensures color fidelity and a natural lighting experience. The color consistency is maintained within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse, and the LEDs have a rated service life of 70,000 hours at L80 (25 °C). The light source is replaceable in accordance with EU ecodesign regulations (VO (EU) 2019/2020).
Constructed from durable die-cast aluminum and finished in RAL 9016 traffic white, the luminaire offers high mechanical resilience with an IK06 impact rating. It features an ingress protection rating of IP20 on the rear and IP54 on the room-facing side, ensuring protection against dust and splashing water. It also meets stringent safety standards with a 650 °C glow-wire resistance rating, and is rated for use in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +25 °C. The luminaire weighs 2.5 kg.
Electrically, Inplana is equipped with a digitally dimmable (DALI-2) electronic control gear, allowing for both standard DALI and Touch DIM operation. The control gear unit is also replaceable to support sustainability in line with ecodesign standards. Inplana is monitoring-ready (MOR), which means it can provide real-time luminaire data for predictive maintenance via TRILUX Monitoring Services. Fully compliant with EU product safety legislation, Inplana carries the CE mark and ENEC certification from an independent authority, ensuring reliability and quality assurance in professional lighting applications.
