The Glamox O43 is a versatile LED floodlight designed for both indoor and outdoor area lighting. It offers medium beam and asymmetrical light distribution options, making it suitable for various applications. Available in multiple sizes, the floodlight can be mounted on walls or columns. Additionally, the O43-290 model features a wide beam optic ideal for pathway lighting. Constructed with a robust luminaire housing made of diecast aluminium, the O43 benefits from a dual-layer finish—a first epoxy powder coating followed by a polyester powder coating. The reflector is crafted from anodised aluminium, and the unit is protected by a tempered safety glass cover. For durability in demanding environments, the floodlight incorporates a silicone gasket and stainless steel screws. Please note that mounting arms must be ordered separately.
In terms of wind-exposed surfaces, the O43-245 measures 0.03141 m², while the O43-290 measures 0.04612 m². The outreach arms come in two lengths, with the 180 mm arm covering 0.0151 m² and the 500 mm arm covering 0.03317 m². For electrical connections, the O43-175 is equipped with one M16 cable gland suitable for cables with a diameter of 4.5 to 10 mm. The larger O43-245 and O43-290 models use one M20 cable gland accommodating cables with a diameter between 7 and 13 mm. A 3-pole, 4 mm² screw terminal block is included to ensure reliable wiring. Outdoor installations require suitable flexible cables to maintain the cable gland’s watertight integrity.
The O43 offers several optic configurations: asymmetrical (ASY), medium beam (MB), and a wide beam optic (WBA) specifically available for the O43-290 to provide excellent pathway lighting. The floodlight operates with a fixed output (HF) driver. Light output ranges from 1200 to 2400 lumens, with colour temperature options of 3000 K or 4000 K. The light quality is rated with a CRI of 80 and a MacAdam ellipse of 3 for consistent colour rendering.
For mounting flexibility, a range of accessories is available including single and double arms for pole mounting, as well as a 600 mm outreach arm for wall mounting. The floodlight housing comes in black (close to RAL 9005) or aluminium grey (close to RAL 9006), both finished with epoxy and polyester powder coatings for enhanced protection. The reflector’s anodised aluminium finish, tempered glass cover, silicone gasket, and stainless steel screws further ensure resilience in outdoor environments.
Installation options include mounting directly on walls with an integral bracket. The O43-175 can be mounted on a 600 mm outreach arm, while the O43-245 and O43-290 models are suitable for mounting on poles with a top diameter of either 60 mm or 102 mm. Crossarms are available for single or double pole mounting but must be ordered separately along with any necessary mounting arms or brackets.
