The Glamox C56-P is a pendant-mounted luminaire designed for versatile indoor work environments, offering separately controlled up and down lighting. This feature allows users to balance indirect and direct light to suit various tasks, creating optimal illumination for different working situations. Its design emphasizes functionality while introducing a striking visual line that enhances the room’s aesthetic.
Constructed from extruded aluminium with moulded aluminium end caps, the C56-P is available in two colors: white and matt silver grey (RAL 9006). The luminaire features easily clipped microprismatic optics for efficient light diffusion. A wide clear uplight cover facilitates easy cleaning and ensures high light output ratio (LOR). For user convenience, the C56-P includes two dimmable cord switches that allow separate control of the up and down lighting directly from the office desk.
The lighting system is powered by separately wired HF ballasts or dual DALI drivers, except for the C56-P 1500 LED 5300 model, which uses a single driver without separate control. The driver has a rated lifetime of up to 100,000 hours at 25°C with a maximum failure rate of 10%. The LED light source delivers between 4,800 and 10,000 lumens, with color temperatures of 3000K or 4000K, a CRI of 80, and MacAdam 3-step color consistency.
The body is crafted from aluminium and finished in either white or silver grey, complemented by durable diecast aluminium end caps. The microprismatic diffuser provides effective glare control, enhancing visual comfort. Additionally, the C56-P can be equipped with integrated sensors, including a PIR sensor (SPR-SEN) with a relay-based on/off switch or a PIR sensor (SPC-SEN) wired for corridor functions.
Mounting is made easy by a unique suspension system featuring a quick-adjust wire on one end and a supply cable that also serves as suspension on the opposite end. The luminaire always comes with this suspension system (PRE), and a special bracket is included for adjustable center-to-center distance from one end, ensuring flexible and secure installation.
