Modular Architectural LED Lighting System with DALI and Casambi Integration for Intelligent Building Systems

Yonos is TRILUX’s new universal lighting system, designed to combine the aesthetic and functional demands of modern interior design with the flexibility and sustainability of a modular lighting platform. With Yonos, designers and facility managers can create seamless lighting solutions tailored to any interior environment—from structured workstations to informal lounge areas—by combining base elements and luminaire inserts into single fixtures, continuous lines, or entirely customized configurations.

Built with a future-ready mindset, Yonos is engineered for long-term adaptability. Its modular construction supports simple disassembly and component reuse, allowing the system to be repaired, upgraded, or reconfigured throughout its life cycle. This design also ensures that materials are easy to recycle. With the TRILUX after-sales promise, all Yonos components will remain available for purchase for at least ten years, supporting lasting value and project security.

Installation is remarkably efficient thanks to a patented catch mechanism that connects the base and luminaire modules both electrically and mechanically in a single step. The system also allows for straightforward dismantling and repositioning, which enhances flexibility and planning agility. In practical terms, this means Yonos can evolve with dynamic office layouts and “New Work” concepts, including collaborative spaces, flexible seating, and informal meeting areas.

Yonos delivers industry-leading energy performance with highly efficient LED lighting that reaches up to 190 lm/W. It can be integrated into both DALI-based and wireless light management systems like LiveLink or Casambi, ensuring precise control, automated lighting schedules, and adaptive brightness for energy savings of up to 35% compared to uncontrolled systems. The system is equipped to support Human Centric Lighting (HCL) strategies and includes lighting optics like ConVision® for UGR <16 or <19, contributing to glare-free comfort in desk areas or circulation zones.

In terms of sustainability, Yonos is designed from the ground up to minimize environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle. The product is manufactured in Germany, which ensures short delivery routes within Europe, minimizes transport emissions, and supports regional supply chains. The modular packaging is plastic-free, reducing both waste and handling time. With a CRI of 90 and advanced light distribution options including directional, prismatic, opal, and indirect optics, Yonos also helps meet criteria for green building certifications like BREEAM and DGNB.

Beyond lighting, Yonos supports system-level innovation. Base units can accommodate third-party devices such as sound systems, while TRILUX and its Swiss subsidiary Monolicht offer handcrafted, project-specific components that integrate seamlessly into the Yonos platform. The system is available in multiple lengths, tap distances, and color finishes including white (RAL 9016), silver (RAL 9006), and black (RAL 9005), with matching decorative or functional inserts. Direct and indirect light distributions can be configured in ratios such as 70/30, 80/20, 50/50, or fully indirect (0/100), providing visual diversity and architectural coherence.

Optical flexibility is another core strength. Yonos offers three ConVision® optics, five prismatic options, and two opal variants, each delivering tailored light distribution curves such as wide, narrow, wallwasher, or extreme-wide for indirect components. Glare control is ensured with UGR ratings as low as <16. It also supports a wide color temperature range from 2700 K to 6500 K and features individually configurable luminous flux packages from 1,500 lm to 10,000 lm. Designed to last, the system delivers a service life of 50,000 hours at L90 (25°C), ensuring consistent performance for years.

Available mounting options include surface-mounted and suspended installations, and Yonos accepts functional and decorative modules in widths of 67 mm, 220 mm, and 312.5 mm, depending on application. Connectors for L, T, X, and C shapes are available to support limitless system designs. Further customization is available through spotlight, pendant luminaire, emergency light, sensor, light management, and blind module inserts, giving designers and integrators all the tools they need to implement holistic, intelligent, and beautiful lighting systems in contemporary spaces.
