The SL1IR LED Searchlight by Luminell is an advanced lighting and thermal imaging system built on the foundation of the DNV-approved SL1 searchlight. This model integrates a FLIR Boson thermal camera, delivering true thermal night vision alongside a high-performance LED light source. The camera is housed within a wave-compensated and robust LED enclosure designed to withstand harsh marine conditions, offering virtually maintenance-free operation that maximizes uptime. The SL1IR is available in both standing and hanging mount versions and can be seamlessly integrated into Luminell’s 4G control system, allowing it to connect within a network alongside SL2 and CL25/35/38 model variants. Technologically, the SL1IR features a wave-compensated LED searchlight with horizontal endless rotation and a dimmable, adjustable beam focus LED light source. The built-in FLIR infrared camera enhances night vision capabilities, providing remote control and integration readiness. The camera uses a FLIR Boson 640 sensor with a 60Hz refresh rate and an 18mm fixed lens, protected by a heated Germanium front window. Zoom options are digital and include 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x magnification.
For a complete operational searchlight system, users may select additional components such as various lengths of analog video cable, the Operator Panel 4G, and an accessory power supply unit (PSU) for AC installation. The system’s input power ranges from 18 to 32 VDC or can be powered via the accessory PSU at 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, with a maximum power draw of 800W.
Performance-wise, the SL1IR can detect a man-sized object at approximately 820 meters, recognize it at 210 meters, and identify it at 104 meters. For larger truck-sized objects, detection extends up to 2.2 kilometers, recognition up to 580 meters, and identification up to 290 meters. The searchlight’s field of view is 24 degrees by 19 degrees.
Constructed with a pan/tilt body and LED head made of anodized seawater-resistant aluminum, the housing is powder coated in RAL9016 for durability. The thermal imaging system offers FLIR standard palette options and supports video output in digital RTSP stream or analog formats, including 640x480 (NTSC) and 640x512 (PAL).
