The DL70-R92 (M) is an architectural LED downlight family designed for maximum efficacy, specifically tailored for marine applications across various types of vessels. This versatile downlight is ideal for crew and passenger areas onboard vessels, including cabins, corridors, staircases, restaurants, lounges, and shopping areas. Variants with EMC1 compliance are suitable for sensitive areas such as the bridge and Engine Control Room (ECR). For applications requiring fire safety, similar models with B0 fire-rated versions are also available.
Designed according to the rules of marine classification societies, the DL70-R92 (M) is delivered with quick connectors as standard—either 2 x Wago Midi (2xQCA) or optionally 2 x Ensto NAC (2xQCE). Its electrical specifications include a standard input of 220-240VAC at 50-60Hz, with 24VDC options available upon request. The general power distribution areas utilize EMC2 standard variants, while EMC1 versions are reserved for bridge and ECR applications.
The LED light sources range from 500 to 1100 lumens with color temperatures of 3000K or 4000K, and other options can be provided upon request. Optical choices include low-glare Silver Matt (SM) reflectors and Medium Beam, with optional Black Matt (BM) or Silver mirror type (SI) reflectors. Narrow beam optics are available on request. The reflectors are protected against dust and fingerprints by a clear, ultrasonic-welded diffuser, ensuring durability and cleanliness. An open reflector option with a lower IP rating can also be supplied.
The housing consists of an aluminum heat sink combined with halogen-free, flame-retardant, V0-quality glass-reinforced plastics, offering IP55 protection from below. Trim rings come in a variety of finishes including White (WH), Chrome (CH), Black (BL), or Brass (BR), and units can be delivered with or without trim.
Installation is designed for recessed mounting using two fixing springs, accommodating ceilings up to 30mm thick. Screw mounting options allow for installation in ceilings of unlimited thickness. The DL70-R92 (M) holds approvals from DNV, complies with IEC 60092-306:2009, and is CE and UKCA certified, making it a reliable choice for marine lighting needs.
