The SL2IR LED Searchlight is a compact yet powerful marine-grade searchlight that combines the trusted SL2 platform with an integrated thermal imaging camera for superior night vision capabilities. Engineered for use in navigation, search operations, and maritime surveillance, the SL2IR enhances visibility in total darkness and harsh weather conditions. It is designed for seamless integration within the Luminell 3G control system and is fully compatible with other models such as the SL2 and CL25/35/38, allowing for networked operation across a vessel.
The thermal camera is housed in a durable casing and mounted on a specialized internal tilt mechanism. While its tilt is limited, it mirrors the horizontal motion of the LED searchlight as controlled by the joystick, ensuring synchronized directional tracking. This configuration delivers highly accurate and responsive performance, making it ideal for critical marine applications where situational awareness and long-range detection are vital.
Built on over two decades of proven design and development, the SL2IR searchlight features advanced LED and FLIR thermal imaging technologies. Its low-maintenance construction includes a heated front window and a rugged housing that withstands the harshest marine environments. The uncooled LWIR thermal imager boasts a resolution of 640x512 pixels, operating at 60Hz, with a 24° x 19° field of view and digital zoom options of 2x and 4x. The system also offers FLIR-standard palette options to enhance image contrast in various conditions.
The searchlight supports both 18–32 VDC and 100–240 VAC power input, with a maximum power draw of 800W. For typical performance, the thermal camera can detect a human-sized object at approximately 820 meters, recognize it at 210 meters, and identify it at 104 meters. For truck-sized objects, detection is possible up to 2.2 kilometers, with recognition at 580 meters and identification at 290 meters.
Constructed with a pan/tilt body made from acid-proof stainless steel 316L and LED heads crafted from anodized seawater aluminum, the entire unit is powder-coated in white (RAL9016) for added durability and corrosion resistance. The SL2IR supports analog video output formats (640x480 NTSC and 640x512 PAL) and digital streaming when paired with an optional video encoder.
