The TX65 LED U area light is engineered specifically for hazardous areas, suitable for use in Zones 1 and 2. Utilizing the latest LED technology, this fixture delivers a high- and medium-intensity lighting solution that combines powerful illumination with exceptionally low power consumption. Designed for demanding environments, the TX65 features a die-cast, seawater-resistant anodized aluminum housing that provides superior heat dissipation, along with a frame and mounting brackets made of AISI 316L stainless steel to ensure long-term durability. The design complies with maritime classification society standards and is CSA certified (Certificate No. 70111393).
This robust LED luminaire is available in one- or two-module versions and includes a safety glass dome over each module. It offers a long service life of up to 100,000 hours at an ambient operating temperature of 45°C. The light source comprises high-performance LEDs that deliver either 3000 or 4500 lumens per module, with available color temperatures of 3000K or 5000K and a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 80. Thanks to its exceptionally wide light distribution, the TX65 is ideal for use in low-base applications as an alternative to traditional tube fixtures.
The fixture can be ceiling-mounted or installed on poles with diameters up to 65 mm. Electrical connections are handled via an Ex e external connection box, featuring 6 mm² terminals and two M25 Ex e brass nickel-plated cable glands (suitable for cables 10 to 17 mm in diameter), with other configurations available upon request.
Designed to perform in extreme conditions, the TX65 operates within ambient temperatures ranging from -50°C to +55°C, and can be stored in temperatures between -55°C and +80°C. With its anodized finish, CSA approval, and rugged construction, this luminaire provides a virtually maintenance-free, high-efficiency lighting solution for hazardous and marine environments.
