The Glamox C30-RIC and C30-RIT are LED troffer luminaires designed to deliver a perfectly balanced light by combining directed and diffused illumination. These classic models have been upgraded to better utilize LED technology and refresh their overall appearance. The luminaires feature two LED modules: one directs light downward from the center, controlled by either a louver or microprismatic optic to reduce glare, while the other directs light upward, reflecting off a curved diffuser within the housing. This combination creates a harmonious blend of direct and indirect light, minimizing shadows and providing good contrast without harsh glare.
Ideal for classrooms and offices, the balanced light output of the C30-RIC and RIT fosters comfortable environments suitable for reading and writing tasks. In terms of installation, the two models complement each other based on ceiling types: the C30-RIT is designed for exposed T-bar ceilings and plasterboard ceilings (using a separate mounting frame), while the C30-RIC is equipped with integrated brackets for mounting in ceilings with a concealed supporting grid. A new external driver box simplifies installation and maintenance by allowing all work to be done without opening the luminaire.
The light source provides between 2800 and 4000 lumens, with color temperatures available at 3000K or 4000K, a CRI of 80, and MacAdam 3-step color consistency. The optic system features white powder-coated secondary reflectors combined with a microprismatic center optic for optimal light distribution. For safety and reliability, the luminaires offer emergency lighting options including standard, self-test, or DALI with 1 or 3-hour duration.
Constructed with a powder-coated white steel body and secondary reflectors, these luminaires provide durability and a clean aesthetic. The C30-RIC model is designed for recessed mounting from below into symmetric or asymmetric concealed ceilings using its integrated mounting brackets, whereas the C30-RIT easily lays into exposed T-bar ceilings, with an optional mounting frame accessory for plasterboard ceilings. Additionally, both models can be equipped with PIR sensors—either a relay-based ON/OFF switch or a corridor function sensor—for enhanced energy efficiency and automation.
