LED Streetlight with Multi-Lens Technology and Zhaga-D4i Certified Smart Controls

Cuvia LED is a technically advanced outdoor luminaire designed to meet both current and future lighting standards and technologies. Engineered for long-term, maintenance-free operation and low energy consumption, it ensures highly efficient, standard-compliant lighting for a wide range of outdoor applications. Its high economic efficiency is further reinforced by rapid, straightforward mounting, making Cuvia LED a smart choice for municipalities and industrial environments alike.

Whether lighting streets, public squares, or industrial premises, flexibility is essential to accommodate varied requirements while delivering uniform, efficient illumination. Cuvia LED rises to this challenge with its modular, intelligent Multi-Lens Technology (MLTIQ), which allows for the implementation of different beam characteristics tailored to specific lighting scenarios. This adaptability ensures excellent lighting for streets, paths, and open areas, while its sleek, modern design also enhances daytime aesthetics.

Future-ready by design, Cuvia LED is available with Smart Lighting Ready (SLR) capabilities, enabling easy retrofitting of light management systems and smart city technologies. It features a Zhaga-compliant base mounted at the top of the luminaire head and complies with the D4i standard, offering certified compatibility with intelligent lighting infrastructure.

This versatile luminaire is suited for a wide range of outdoor applications, including main roads, residential streets, pedestrian zones, stairways, car parks, and access areas. It supports post-top and bracket mounting on mast spigots with diameters of Ø76 mm, with optional reduction pieces for Ø42, Ø48, or Ø60 mm masts. Mounting angles can be adjusted from 0° to 10° for post-top installations and from -10° to 0° for bracket-mounted setups, with stainless steel fixing screws ensuring secure installation per EN 60598-2-3 standards.

Cuvia LED’s optical system utilizes a 4-fold MLTIQ configuration comprising highly efficient, UV- and temperature-resistant lens arrays. The system includes a clear PMMA cover and delivers asymmetric wide light distribution, ideal for compliance with P lighting classes. Optional rear and side shields can be retrofitted as needed, and additional beam profiles are available for custom requirements.

The LED system delivers a fixed luminous flux and color temperature, stabilized over time with Constant Light Output (CLO). Offering a luminous efficacy of up to 134 lm/W, the luminaire outputs neutral white light at 4000 K with a CRI above 70. Color consistency is maintained within an initial MacAdam tolerance of ≤5 SDCM. Versions with Tunable White (2200 K–4000 K) and three-level switchable luminous output are also available. The system supports a rated lifetime of 100,000 hours at 35 °C (L80), with components replaceable according to ecodesign guidelines.

Constructed from die-cast aluminium, the luminaire housing is finished in anthracite (similar to RAL 703), with a highly weather-resistant and sea air-compatible powder coating. It features sulphur-free seals for enhanced durability. The unit holds an IP66 protection rating, both for the housing and lamp compartment, and boasts IK09 impact resistance. Designed for temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 35 °C, it offers a windage area of 0.050 m² and weighs 9.0 kg.

The luminaire includes an 8-meter pre-installed connection cable and features a switchable electronic transformer. The DALI-2-compliant control gear is replaceable and protected against power surges with 6 kV (differential mode) and 10 kV (common mode) resistance. Cuvia LED meets all applicable EU regulations and safety standards, bearing both CE and ENEC certification marks.

Supported by Trilux’s after-sales commitment, Cuvia LED is guaranteed to remain available for at least 10 years, with spare parts—including the LED module, driver, and optical system—accessible for up to 15 years post-invoice. Design updates may be applied in the interest of technical progress.

For planning purposes, Cuvia LED is engineered in compliance with EN 60598 and Eurocode EN 1991 wind load requirements, withstanding wind speeds up to 30 m/s (terrain category 1, wind zone 4 in Germany), snow loads up to 1 kN/m², and icing up to 2 cm. Note that installations in exposed locations such as bridges, building edges, or near railway tracks are not covered under standard planning conditions.
