Developed specifically for use on recreational sports fields, RIVAL delivers outstanding results in terms of uniformity, luminous efficiency, and control of unwanted light spill. It supports both combined optics (AFC01 or AFC02) and standard optics (AP10, AF02), providing flexibility for a wide range of lighting scenarios. This adaptability ensures that light is delivered precisely where it is needed, while minimizing glare and stray illumination in surrounding areas. Even when installed at a 0° tilt, RIVAL maintains high uniformity on the field without projecting light into the sky, earning it Dark Sky approval and contributing to the preservation of the natural night environment.
Built for reliability and durability, RIVAL features a robust housing with an IK10 impact rating and IP66 ingress protection. The luminaire is constructed with low copper content (less than 0.08%) and engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, ensuring a long operational lifetime. Its innovative, ultra-lightweight design addresses one of the biggest challenges in floodlight installation: excessive weight. The clever integration of heat-repelling fins allows for efficient thermal management, further supporting system longevity and performance stability.
RIVAL supports multiple asymmetric distribution patterns including 44°, 55°, and 65° forward throw and side-throw variants, offering targeted solutions for varying field geometries. It can operate at 1,200 mA (depending on ambient temperature) and delivers a maximum luminous flux of up to 146,600 lumens, with luminous efficacy reaching 161 lm/W. Available color temperatures include 3,000 K, 4,000 K, and 5,700 K, all with a minimum CRI of 70, while other CCT/CRI/TLCI combinations can be provided on request.
Control and customization are key strengths of the RIVAL system. It comes equipped with electronic operating devices compatible with DALI and DMX-RDM, as well as 1–10 V interfaces. Additional options such as stand-alone programming, Constant Lumen Output (CLO), and compatibility with Zhaga Book 18 or NEMA 7 nodes are available upon request. The luminaire is designed for seamless integration into intelligent lighting systems, allowing individual or group-based control through internal or external smart nodes.
