The Glamox i80 is an IP66-rated LED luminaire designed specifically for industrial environments, capable of delivering up to two times 34,000 lumens with a color rendering index (CRI) of 80. Built to operate efficiently in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C, it is ideal for applications such as warehouses, workshops, and sports halls. The luminaire’s robust die-cast aluminum housing ensures durability while maintaining energy efficiency and minimizing glare for comfortable, high-quality illumination.
For connection, the standard i80 comes equipped with a pre-assembled 50 cm rubber cable (H05SS-F) and a Wieland IP68 plug RST20i3 for fixed output versions. The DALI variants include a 50 cm 5x1.5 mm² rubber cable with a Wieland IP68 plug RST20i5. When mounted in clusters, the standard i80 must be paired with a through wiring (TW) variant, which features two cables and plugs (male and female) to facilitate electrical connections.
The luminaire housing is manufactured from die-cast aluminum with low iron and copper content (EN AB-44100), finished with an epoxy/polyester powder coating in aluminum grey (RAL 9006) for corrosion resistance. The reflector is made of silver-coated aluminum, while the front cover options include heat-soak tested tempered glass (HTG) or impact-resistant clear acrylic (CL). Both types of glass are extra-white and coated on both sides to maximize light transmission. An opal film (OP) is available as an optional diffuser. The design incorporates silicone-free gaskets and acid-proof steel screws to ensure long-term reliability in industrial conditions.
Mounting options for the i80 are flexible and extensive, including ceiling or wall installation, mounting on luminaire tracks, side-by-side cluster arrangements, suspension on horizontal wires, or pendant mounting. Installation in open ceilings is also possible using a recessing frame. Various suspension and mounting accessories are available separately, such as chain suspension kits, double wire suspension kits, brackets for horizontal wire, ceiling brackets, cluster brackets, revolvable brackets, recessing frames for open ceilings, and inrush current limiters. Additionally, accessories like Wieland female and splitter plugs (IP68 rated) and external wireless sensor boxes—including ceiling brackets integrated with sensors—support advanced control and safety features.
The i80 offers an extensive light source range from 7,000 up to 60,000 lumens with a standard color temperature of 4000 K, a CRI of Ra 80, and a MacAdam ellipse of 3 for consistent, natural color rendering. A warmer 3000 K option is available upon request. Optics include medium beam (MB), narrow beam (NB), and extreme narrow beam (XNB) reflectors made of silver-coated aluminum, with an optional opal film diffuser for softer light distribution.
Driver options include fixed output (HF) and DALI dimmable drivers capable of dimming from 10% to 100%. Some variants support DALI-Z functionality, allowing dimming down to zero. The drivers are rated for a long operational life of up to 120,000 hours at 25°C ambient temperature, with a maximum failure rate of 10%. The Glamox i80 luminaire also offers the possibility of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), making it a sustainable choice for industrial lighting projects.
