The MEDILUX® R is a 600 x 600 mm recessed LED luminaire specifically engineered for cleanroom environments and other settings that demand high ingress protection and robust construction. Designed for installation into a variety of ceiling systems, it is particularly well-suited for recessing into plasterboard ceilings using integral side-arm brackets, with a standard cut-out dimension of 575 x 575 mm. Its clean, functional design ensures straightforward installation and reliable performance in demanding conditions.
This luminaire can be fitted with either a micro-prism optic lens for glare control or a satin polycarbonate high-transmission version. The polycarbonate diffuser is ideal for sensitive areas such as healthcare facilities or food processing environments where the use of glass is restricted. The luminaire's smooth surface and construction materials facilitate easy and hygienic cleaning, aligning with industry requirements for sanitation and safety.
MEDILUX® R features IP65 protection to the lit space and IP54 protection to the ceiling void, with an optional full IP65 version available for more stringent applications. It offers exceptional efficiency, delivering up to 122 luminaire lumens per circuit watt. The frame is constructed from durable extruded PVCu with co-extruded seals to maintain airtightness, while the self-colored RAL 9010 (20% gloss) finish ensures a clean, uniform aesthetic.
Integrated features include side support brackets to preserve the canopy seal, ensuring the IP rating is maintained between the diffuser, frame, and ceiling interface. The luminaire is also available with a 3-hour integrated emergency lighting function, as well as dimmable and wireless control versions equipped with microwave sensors, offering flexible control options for various operational requirements.
