For locations such as car washes where acid-based cleaning agents are used, it is crucial to specify acid-proof steel housing to prevent deterioration. Glamox advises users to carefully consider chemical compatibility, as even non-aggressive substances can become corrosive when mixed. The i55 is equipped with high-performance LED modules offering light outputs ranging from 5,400 to 8,100 lumens. It is available in 3000K or 4000K color temperatures and delivers excellent visual clarity with a color rendering index (CRI) of Ra 80 and a MacAdam step of 3. Drivers come in both fixed output (HF) and DALI dimmable versions, supporting a 1–100% dimming range. The driver is designed for longevity, with a rated lifetime of up to 120,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 25°C with a maximum 10% failure rate.
Installation is made easy with fixed end brackets included with the luminaire. For added flexibility, a range of suspension kits is available as accessories. The i55 is equipped with a 5-pole, 6 mm² screw terminal block and supports 5 x 2.5 mm² through wiring. A 5-way chassis plug can be added to both ends upon request to simplify connections. For cable entry, the fixture includes one M20 polyamide cable gland or blind entry at each end, accommodating cables with diameters between 7 and 14 mm. Optional M25 glands for cables 9 to 18 mm in diameter are also available. The luminaire is supplied with one additional blind as a standard feature.
