Carelite is an advanced arm-based bedhead luminaire designed specifically for patient environments, offering wall, table, or floor-mounted installation options. Engineered for versatility and comfort, it delivers powerful, low-glare illumination of approximately 2000 lux at a distance of 0.6 meters, making it ideal for reading and other close-up tasks without disturbing others in multi-bed hospital wards.
One of Carelite’s defining features is its user-friendly design. The luminaire includes a spring-balanced, self-supporting arm and an ergonomically designed handle, allowing effortless positioning—even for patients with limited mobility. The LED light source is recessed within the head to minimize glare, while still offering excellent illumination with a warm 3000K color temperature and high color rendering (CRI >90). The light is dimmable via an alcohol-resistant FPC switch, allowing both on/off functionality and brightness adjustment. A built-in night-watch function provides a soft observation light that allows caregivers to check on patients without waking them.
Hygiene and durability are core to Carelite’s design. The luminaire is coated with SteriTouch® antimicrobial powder paint, using ionic silver technology to continuously inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and biofilm throughout the product’s lifetime. This makes it highly suitable for clinical environments where infection control is essential.
The fixture features a parallel three-pivot steel arm with plastic covers and an aluminum shade. The table version includes a 105 cm arm, while the wall version is available in either 105 cm or 115 cm lengths. Carelite complies with medical lighting standards, including EN60598-2-25.
Installation options are flexible, with models available for wall, table, or trolley mounting. A variety of mounting brackets are available upon request, and for trolley setups, extra weight is recommended to enhance stability. The luminaire is equipped with a dimmable electronic driver and comes with a 1.7-meter-long connection cable and plug, ready for plug-and-play use.
