Glamox O87-R is a robust, ground-recessed circular LED luminaire designed for outdoor architectural applications, including façade illumination. Crafted with durability and performance in mind, the O87-R features a trim ring made from acid-proof stainless steel (AISI 316L) and is available in three different sizes to suit varying lighting requirements and installation spaces.
The luminaire body is constructed from die-cast aluminium and finished with a dual coating system for enhanced protection—a first layer of epoxy powder followed by a second layer of polyester powder-coated paint. The front cover is made of tempered glass, sealed with a silicone gasket, and all exposed screws are stainless steel, ensuring resistance against corrosion and harsh environments.
Equipped with a tiltable LED light source, the luminaire offers a ±15° tilt adjustment, making it ideal for focused upward lighting of building façades. It delivers between 500 and 3000 lumens and is offered in a standard 4000 K color temperature with CRI Ra 80 and MacAdam 3-step color consistency. A warmer 3000 K version is available on request. The luminaire also supports either a medium or narrow beam optic for different lighting effects.
For mounting, the O87-R must be installed using a dedicated in-ground mounting box made from thermoplastic material, which is ordered separately. The luminaire has a high static load capacity of up to 2,000 kg and maintains a surface temperature of less than 70°C at an ambient temperature of 25°C, making it safe for pedestrian areas.
The driver is fixed output (HF), and the external ballast kit comes with a pre-assembled 30 cm cable (2 x 0.75 mm²) and a quick connector for easy connection between the ballast and luminaire. IP68 terminal blocks ensure a secure, water-resistant electrical connection, further reinforcing the luminaire’s suitability for outdoor environments.
