Glamox O71-R is a recessed LED luminaire specifically designed for outdoor applications. Its robust construction makes it particularly suitable for ground-recessed mounting, as it can withstand a maximum load of up to 1000 kg. The luminaire is delivered complete with its power supply and comes in a choice of black (RAL 9005) or silver grey (RAL 9006) finishes, offering aesthetic flexibility for various installation environments.
Manufactured with a body and top cover made of die-cast aluminium, the O71-R features a durable polyester powder-coated paint finish for enhanced weather resistance. The top cover is available in three different light emission configurations: R1, R2, and R3, providing tailored illumination patterns for diverse outdoor lighting needs. The diffuser is made of tempered opal safety glass, engineered to deliver a mechanical strength of 12.0 joules. A silicone gasket ensures proper sealing, and all screws are stainless steel to prevent corrosion. Despite its durability, the temperature on the cover remains safe at 25°C during operation.
The luminaire comes ready for installation into an included in-ground mounting box made of techno-polymer, simplifying the setup process. It is equipped with a low-output 10-lumen LED light source, operating at a warm 3200 K color temperature with a high color rendering index of Ra 80 and MacAdams 3 color consistency, ensuring visual comfort and clarity in low-level lighting applications.
Electrical connections are handled via two M16 cable glands (suitable for cables with 5–10 mm diameter) and a 3-pole, 1.5 mm² screw terminal block housed within the luminaire. For outdoor use, it's essential to use appropriate flexible cables to maintain the water-tightness of the gland system, ensuring long-term reliability and safety.
