The MIX G2 is an explosion-proof LED luminaire designed for technical outdoor and indoor use in hazardous environments classified as Zone 2 and Zone 22. Its robust housing is made from either 316L stainless steel, suitable for outdoor conditions with CX corrosion class, or aluminum/zinc-treated steel designed for indoor use with a C3 corrosion class. This high-quality, long-life Category 3-marked luminaire is ideal for industrial settings, ships, and energy installations where explosive atmospheres occur only occasionally and for short durations. It offers a wide range of installation options, requires minimal maintenance, and delivers excellent overall economy.
The luminaire housing is available in acid-proof 316L stainless steel or aluminum/zinc-treated steel finished with a white epoxy/polyester powder coating. An unpainted acid-proof steel version is also offered. The diffuser is made of impact-resistant, frosted polycarbonate that is self-extinguishing (V0 rated), sealed with a one-piece silicone gasket, and secured by clips crafted from 316L acid-proof steel. To facilitate maintenance, the MIX G2 features a hinged gear tray with a quick connector. Additionally, an emergency lighting solution with a 1.5- or 3-hour duration is available, supplied with a fixed external battery box to ensure optimal performance during outages.
The light source provides an output ranging from 2,500 to 7,500 lumens, with a color temperature of 4000 K, color rendering index (CRI) Ra 80, and a MacAdams ellipse of 3 for consistent color quality. The luminaire comes equipped with various mounting options, including fixed end brackets, triangle suspensions, and M8 hood nuts. These M8 hood nuts allow for multiple suspension methods such as horizontal wire, rod, tube, pole, cable bridge, side, and vibration suspension, with additional special suspensions available upon request.
Emergency functionality is supported with options for 1.5- or 3-hour duration backup power via a fixed external battery box. The driver options include a fixed output (HF) version as well as a DALI dimmable variant capable of 10-100% dimming. The driver is rated for a long lifetime of up to 120,000 hours with a maximum failure rate of 10% at an ambient temperature of 25°C.
Cable entry options accommodate between one and four cable glands, including M20 and M25 sizes in both polyamide and nickel-plated brass to fit cable diameters ranging from 4 mm to 18 mm. The luminaire’s body is crafted from aluminum/zinc-treated steel or acid-proof steel finished in white epoxy/polyester powder coating, with an unpainted acid-proof steel alternative. The diffuser is constructed of impact-resistant frosted polycarbonate, sealed with a one-piece silicone gasket, and secured with acid-proof steel clips.
Electrical connection is made through a 5-pole, 6 mm² screw terminal block, with variants available featuring 5 x 2.5 mm² through wiring to accommodate different installation needs. Suspension kits and additional accessories are also available to tailor the luminaire to specific mounting requirements.
