The Strongex2 LED is a highly robust, gas-tight tube luminaire engineered to deliver reliable and durable performance in environments with explosive atmospheres, aggressive gases, acids, or saline air. Designed for both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas, it is certified for ATEX zones 2, 21, and 22, making it ideal for locations where explosive gas or dust clouds may occur only briefly during normal operation. This luminaire combines mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and high efficiency, offering a dependable solution for high-risk industrial applications.

Constructed with a shock-resistant PMMA diffuser tube and end caps made from glass-fiber reinforced PA66, Strongex2 LED offers outstanding protection against corrosion from sulfur vapors, acids, and salt-laden air. The housing features a photometrically effective prismatic structure, producing a very wide symmetrical light distribution suitable for extensive coverage in large areas. With a sealed, high-temperature-resistant MVQ silicone gasket, it maintains long-term integrity in extreme ambient conditions ranging from -36°C to +40°C.

The luminaire delivers a luminous flux of 8,500 lumens with a connected load of just 47 watts, achieving a remarkable luminous efficacy of 181 lm/W. The neutral white light at 4000 K provides excellent visibility and color rendering with a CRI greater than 80, ensuring optimal working conditions in industrial environments. The color consistency remains high with an initial MacAdam tolerance of ≤ 3 SDCM. Its rated service life of 100,000 hours at L80 (35°C) ensures minimal maintenance and operational continuity over the long term.

Strongex2 LED features an IP66 ingress protection rating for complete resistance to dust and high-pressure water jets, along with IK10 impact resistance, making it exceptionally durable under mechanical stress. The signal yellow (RAL1003) end caps enhance visual recognition in industrial settings, while the powder-coated steel gear tray adds to the fixture’s structural stability. It includes through-wiring (3 x 2.5 mm²) for quick and efficient installation and supports switchable electronic control gear. DALI-dimmable versions are also available upon request, offering digital lighting control flexibility.

Compliant with all relevant EU product safety regulations, Strongex2 LED bears the CE marking and satisfies the requirements for safe operation in ATEX-marked hazardous zones, classified as II 3G Ex ec IIC T5…T4 Gc / II 3D Ex tc IIIC T85°C Dc. The luminaire measures 1830 mm in length, 125 mm in width, and has a height of 138 mm, weighing 5.8 kg. With a hot-wire resistance of 850°C, it is also suitable for applications with heightened fire risk.
