The Glamox D70-R195 SOLID G2 downlight combines a simple, clean design with exceptional robustness, enabling it to withstand some of the toughest working conditions in extreme environments. This luminaire offers impressive technical features such as a C5 corrosion resistance rating, IK10 impact classification, IP65 ingress protection, and RGB-W color-changing capabilities. It is especially suited for demanding applications including operating theatres, swimming pools, outdoor public spaces, psychiatric wards, and other areas requiring anti-ligature or vandal-proof lighting solutions.
The light source delivers between 1400 and 4500 lumens with colour temperatures of 3000K or 4000K, a CRI of Ra 80, and MacAdams 3 consistency. Options include tunable white (CCT) as well as RGB and RGBW variants, providing versatile lighting effects. The drivers are available in fixed output (HF on/off) and DALI dimmable formats, both offering a lifetime of up to 100,000 hours at 25°C with a maximum failure rate of 10%.
Mounting is facilitated by three stainless steel screws with mounting plates that accommodate thicknesses from 0.5 to 28 mm or 28 to 65 mm, ensuring secure installation in a variety of settings. The optics feature lens optics positioned in front of the LED source, paired with a treated reflector in Silver Matte finish. The downlight carries an IP65 rating from underneath and IP20 from above, with versions offering full IP65 protection available as well.
The body is crafted from white powder-coated solid aluminium fixed to the trim, combined with a plastic reflector. An external Linect (LI) box is standard, though versions with IP65 sealing from above and IP-rated drivers without Linect are also offered. For connection, various options are available to suit project needs.
Specially designed for challenging anti-ligature environments, the D70-R195 SOLID G2 incorporates tamper-proof screws in its three solid fixing points securing the trim ring. The cover is made from extremely tough, polycarbonate hardened plastic, and paired with the IK10 impact protection, this design ensures safety and durability in sensitive custodial areas such as psychiatric wards, detention centres, and hospitals. The downlight can be customized further to meet specific project requirements, including lumen output, CRI values, trim colours, driver types, and connection methods.
