Glamox O72-R is a recessed LED luminaire specifically designed for outdoor applications, featuring a robust construction with a stainless steel front ring. Its durable build makes it well-suited for ground-recessed installations, capable of withstanding loads of up to 2000 kg, making it ideal for walkways, driveways, or public plazas where structural strength and weather resistance are essential. The luminaire is delivered complete with an integrated power supply for simplified installation.
Constructed from die-cast aluminium, the housing is finished with a polyester powder-coated paint that ensures long-term durability in outdoor conditions. The fixture includes a tempered opal safety glass diffuser, providing diffused illumination while withstanding mechanical impacts up to 6.8 joules. A silicone gasket is used for environmental sealing, and all external screws are made from stainless steel for corrosion resistance. At an ambient temperature of 25°C, the diffuser surface temperature remains at a safe 38°C.
The O72-R comes with a techno polymer in-ground mounting box, allowing secure and stable recessed installation. Electrical connections are made through a PG9 cable gland, suitable for cables between 4–8 mm in diameter, and a 3-pole, 1.5 mm² screw terminal block housed within the luminaire. For outdoor applications, appropriate flexible cables should be used to ensure the integrity of the watertight seal.
This LED luminaire outputs 15 lumens with a warm white color temperature of 3200 K, a color rendering index (CRI) of Ra 80, and a MacAdams tolerance of 3, providing consistent and visually comfortable light for outdoor environments.
