The RLX B G2 Floodlight is a compact yet powerful lighting solution designed specifically for demanding marine environments. As the enhanced second generation of the popular RLX B model, it offers a small form factor tailored for big tasks. Built to be robust and reliable, the RLX B G2 operates on 24VDC and features fixed, molded cables available in standard lengths of 5 and 15 meters. Its design ensures dependable performance even under the harshest conditions at sea.
Typical applications for the RLX B G2 include fast ferries, smaller fishing vessels, search and rescue (SAR) vessels, pilot vessels, crew transfer vessels (CTVs), and offshore wind farm installations. The floodlight is delivered as standard with a color rendering index (CRI) of 80 and a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5000K. Users can select from three different beam angle options—MB30°, MB50°, and wide beam WB90°—to suit varying illumination needs. Additional color options are also available, including warmer 3000K, red, green, and blue lighting, expanding its versatility for specialized applications.
For vessels or installations operating on VAC power, the RLX B G2 can be supplied as a bundled package with an external junction box that includes an LED driver. Alternatively, it can be paired with a separate LED driver, allowing for flexible integration with existing power systems. The floodlight consumes 40 watts of power and is rated for ingress protection levels IPx6 and IPx7, ensuring resistance against water ingress and durability in marine environments. It functions reliably within a wide ambient temperature range of -40°C to +55°C, making it suitable for a variety of climates and operational conditions.
