At the Hong Kong Lighting Fair, MEAN WELL unveiled its comprehensive “2+1 Integrated Solution” for next-generation smart lighting applications, marking a major advancement in unified lighting control across smart homes, commercial buildings, and fully automated digital environments. This integrated framework combines DALI and KNX as the two core wired control standards, with Matter serving as the wireless component, enabling seamless, scalable, and interoperable lighting management across a diverse range of application scenarios.

For the Smart Home Wireless Dimming Solution, MEAN WELL adopts the Matter standard to ensure a unified wireless ecosystem that simplifies intelligent home lighting control. Using the XLC-MA series LED drivers, this solution delivers stable, responsive wireless dimming capabilities that integrate effortlessly with Matter-enabled home platforms, bringing enhanced convenience and compatibility to connected residential lighting.

Within its Smart Lighting Solution, MEAN WELL expands its DALI-2 ecosystem with a full line of interoperable products. This includes the XLC/XLN and SPWM series LED drivers, the DLC-02 digital lighting controller, DTP-2xx series touch panels, and DLS-2xx series sensors—together forming a complete DALI-2 application infrastructure capable of satisfying comprehensive one-stop project requirements. The adoption of the DALI-2 standard reinforces precision lighting control, smoother dimming behavior, and highly reliable communication for commercial, industrial, and architectural lighting systems.

To support Smart Building Solutions, MEAN WELL offers the XLC-KN series LED drivers with built-in KNX communication, enabling advanced building automation functions such as centralized lighting management, scheduling, energy monitoring, and integration with KNX-based HVAC or security systems. As 5G networks and smart home technologies grow, efficient integration of all lighting systems into a unified building automation environment has become essential. MEAN WELL is expanding its presence in the building automation (BA) field with products that connect digital lighting to broader building-wide control architectures.

Central to this advancement is the newly launched DLC-02 digital lighting controller, designed to serve as the backbone of DALI-based building automation. Fully compliant with DALI-2 regulations, including Control Device – Part 103, the DLC-02 series features Class II insulated plastic housing, DIN-Rail mounting for fast installation, and a compact 144mm width for easy placement within distribution boxes. It provides two channels of DALI bus output, each equipped with a built-in 250 mA DALI power supply, supporting up to 64 luminaires (Control Gear – Part 102/207) and 12 wall switches or sensors (Input Devices – Part 301–304) per channel. The controller also integrates DALI-2 relay functionality (Part 208), enabling control of electrical devices or curtain motors. With a built-in timer, installers can automate lighting schedules, manage scenes, and configure grouping functions directly. The DLC-02-KN variant extends these capabilities by functioning as a KNX-to-DALI gateway, enabling complete integration into KNX building automation systems.

The DLC-02 series is compatible with all DALI-2 and KNX-certified devices and adheres to DALI IEC62386-101/103/207/208/301/302/303/304 standards. Setup is simplified through the DLC software interface, allowing installers to configure scenes and grouping for all luminaires on the DALI bus. Additional convenience features include RJ45 and LCD interfaces for direct testing and configuration. Fully certified to EN61347/63044 and EMC standards EN55015/61547/63044, the DLC-02 series establishes itself as a foundational controller for digital lighting systems in modern intelligent buildings.

Expanding this ecosystem further, MEAN WELL introduces the DLS-2xx Series DALI-2 PIR Motion Sensors, fully compliant with IEC 62386-101/103/303/304 standards and officially DALI-2 certified. Available in versions for both low-mount and high-mount applications, the high-mount model supports surface-mounted and recessed ceiling installations for maximum versatility. Powered directly by the DALI bus, these sensors employ PIR pyroelectric detection technology and feature integrated ambient light sensors for automatic brightness detection, enabling precise occupancy-based lighting control.

Completing MEAN WELL’s one-stop DALI-2 offering is the launch of its first DALI-2 touch control panels, the DTP-2xx series. Fully compliant with DALI-2 specifications and certified to IEC-62386-101/103/301/332 standards, the series is available in 3-, 4-, and 6-button configurations with options for both European and US standard sizes. These panels provide intuitive, elegant, and reliable user interfaces for scene selection, brightness adjustment, and fully customizable lighting control within DALI-2 smart building systems.

The new generation XLN and XLC series are plastic housing LED drivers of MEAN WELL, they are designed with double insulation and class II/2 for general indoor lighting or commercial luminaires. Some key features include compact size, constant voltage and constant current output, multiple dimming functions, outlet with wiring type or terminal type...etc. The series are designed with the concept of standard LED power supply and multi-purpose for customer selection, satisfying general needs of matching various lighting fixtures or LED strip applications.

The constant current output adopts a constant power mode and provides a wide range of current adjustment functions, the output current can be adjusted through the MEAN WELL APP while combing with NFC, and has 3-in-1 DALI-2 digital dimming or other wire/wireless dimming methods (KNX/ Bluetooth/ Matter); the minimum dimming level can reach <0.1%.

Complying with the latest safety regulations, the output and dimming circuits are isolated and comply with double insulation and safety voltage (SELV) designs to ensure user safety and reduce the risk of electric shock. The entire series has complete international certification and full range voltage input (Class II/2), making it convenient for customers to match all sorts of lighting in the worldwide market.

As the efficiency of LED luminous continues to improve, the lighting requires less LED power and heat sinks. Therefore, the miniaturized power supply facilitates customers to match various lighting mechanism designs while providing better product functionality and reliability.

In addition to the traditional 3 in 1 dimming (0-10V, PWM signal, resistance), the dimming method also provides the latest DALI-2 digital dimming function with the lowest brightness can reach <0.1%. Also, it can be combined with the DLC-02 DALI digital lighting control system, used in various lighting projects or commercial lighting scenes.

The full series provides a variety of output applications, including constant voltage output (12/24/48V) that can be used with LED lighting strip applications, and constant current (H type) that can be used with general lighting designs. Customers don't need to buy higher wattage, simply use it with a normal wattage that is combined with instantaneous peak power. By doing so, this can not only reduce the purchasing cost of power supply but also help customers to improve application problems. The output voltage provided this time is 12V/24V/36V/48V models, which are commonly used in industrial equipment. The other mechanical dimensions are the same as the previous LRS series, making it convenient for customers to replace them.

The enclosed-type power supplies are used in a wide range of industrial fields, including for various electrical equipment or electronic controls. Normally, the power supply would need to provide higher startup peak power for inductive loads such as motor products or electronic controls, it would usually startup with a large current capacitive load application due to the energy storage capacitors on circuit. Therefore, MEAN WELL has developed the new LRS-100/200/350/600 N2 series, to provide customers with a power supply that has instantaneous 200% peak power consumption (duty≦35%) without increasing the wattage, also to help customers improve application problems and reduce total costs.

In addition to the UL/EN 62386-1 certification, The LRS-N2 series is also compliant with EN standards. 61558-1 OVC III design for industrial power supply. Generally, products with OVC III design are more suitable for industrial equipment because they can be connected directly from the distribution box and save the cost of using an additional isolation transformer. MEAN WELL's XLG series complied with the latest safety standards and isolated dimming design, covered both constant current and constant voltage applications. The series can be used with general constant current luminaires such as street light, floodlight, bay light or general 12V/24V/48V constant voltage LED strips for lighting applications. It not only conforms to the independent control gear design, provides IP67 waterproof and 3-in-1 dimming functions; it has also been added the DALI-2 digital dimming function to provide a more completed solution for intelligent system integration.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a protocol described in the technical standard IEC 62386 for digital control of building lighting systems. As the digital lighting evolves, the DALI Alliance (DiiA) developed the DALI-2 certification program; All of the certified DALI-2 products would be more compatible and interoperable to avoid pairing issues between various manufacturers. The newly added products that meet the DALI-2 dimming standard have included a full series of XLG-50/75/100/150/200/240/320W; provide a variety of indoor and outdoor LED lighting for DALI system integration. Also, an additional set of 12V/250mA auxiliary source output can be selected for products above 150W, which would lower the risk of being damaged by surge conduction.

The XLG series adopted constant power design that is convenient for customers to use in different output currents. In order to prevent the defective issues caused by the abnormal temperatures, MEAN WELL redefined the over-temperature protection so that the LED driver would derated to 75~50% when the temperature increased. In addition, the XLG series also provide IOVP (Input Over Voltage Protection), which would automatically shutting off the LED driver when the input voltage is higher than 320 VAC, to avoid power failure damaged by excessive AC input voltage.
