Center beam candle power (CBCP) refers to luminous intensity at the center of the beam of a lamp or luminaire. Every light distribution has a point of maximum intensity. For most symmetrical beams, the point of maximum intensity tends to be located at the center of the light beam. It typically corresponds to the candela value at nadir (directly below the lamp or luminaire).
