MetroSpec Technology, the leading American manufacturer of custom LED light sources, announces, FlexRad® FacetLEDTM, an extremely powerful, very lightweight, LED light source created for a variety of fixtures requiring 360-degree illumination and end-fill capability.
With outputs ranging from 3,000 to 15,000+ lumens, FacetLED illuminates globes, drums, bollards, schoolhouse fixtures, acorns, and an endless set of volumetric fixtures, with simplicity and efficiency not available with other light sources. FacetLED does not require a heat sink – it directly cools by enhancing ambient air circulation. There is simply nothing like it.
FacetLED utilizes springs to interconnect LED light strips into a rigid form. It is completely hollow and is mounted by push-in fasteners or pins to hold it at the center of a fixture. Its weight is a small fraction of other light source structures that would require metal heat sinks. Simple, compact, versatile and easy to mount, FacetLED greatly reduces the cost of fixtures by eliminating components and reducing labor.
LED choices range in CCTs from 1800K to 6500K, including a range of tunable and full color options. Circadian and HCL are also supported. FacetLED is trimmable and can support sizes from inches to several feet long. A variety of wired and push-in connector options are
available. Additional controls and optics may be added for animated movement and directionality of light.
FacetLED can be shaped into forms that control the direction of light. Unlike other light sources, FacetLED can be used to create lobed light patterns without special lensing or reflectors. It can also be scaled into almost any wattage.
