The TETRA1 is a linear LED bar developed from the renowned Spiider and Tarrantula technology platforms. Despite being more compact in length, the TETRA1 delivers the same feature set, quality, and precise pixel spacing as its larger sibling, the TETRA2. Designed with versatility and performance in mind, it delivers an ultra-narrow 4° beam from each of its nine RGBW pixels, which together form a powerful, well-defined "sheet" of light—ideal for the immersive visual effects demanded by modern lighting designers.
Multiple TETRA1 and TETRA2 units can be seamlessly lined up end-to-end, thanks to their precisely engineered physical design, allowing the creation of continuous, pixel-consistent light curtains across stages or trusses. The addition of Robe’s patented MCFE™ (Multi-Coloured Flower Effect) elevates the TETRA1 further by projecting vibrant, animated aerial effects that stand out in any lighting rig. The fixture’s homogenized beams and smooth 11:1 motorized zoom (ranging from 4° to 45°) allow it to serve as a wide wash light, footlight, wall grazer, or a dynamic aerial effect tool with fast sweeping motion.
TETRA1 incorporates Robe’s latest L3™ dimming technology, offering 18-bit low light linearity for smooth fades to black and excellent color transitions. This fixture also includes an embedded Ethernet switch and supports multiple control protocols, including sACN, Art-Net, and Kling-Net, enabling seamless integration with DMX systems, media servers, or the internal effects engine.
With a total output of 5,300 lumens and individual control over each of the nine 40W RGBW LED pixels, the TETRA1 provides vibrant colors and subtle pastels with color mixing via RGBW or CMY modes. It includes a range of advanced features like variable CCT from 2,700K to 8,000K, tungsten lamp emulation, and over 200 DataSwatch™ preset colors. The fixture supports a broad suite of pre-programmed effects including pixel chases, waves, pulses, random strobes, and rotating multicolored beam patterns, with precise 0–100% dimming and variable speed strobe effects up to 20 Hz.
TETRA1 is controlled via a user-friendly QVGA touch screen with battery backup and intuitive positioning via a gravitation sensor. It also features Robe’s REAP™ Ethernet Access Portal and optional wireless CRMX™ connectivity. The tilt movement spans 191°, controllable with 16-bit precision and variable speed. Designed for performance in varying conditions, TETRA1 operates between -5°C to 40°C and dissipates up to 1023 BTU/h.
The fixture’s electronics are housed within a compact and rugged body (279 mm height, 508 mm width, and 192 mm depth), weighing just 11.3 kg. With an IP20 rating, it is suitable for indoor environments, and its Neutrik TRUE1 power connectors and locking XLR and RJ45 ports ensure robust electrical and signal connections. It mounts easily using two pairs of 1/4-turn locking points and includes Omega adaptors for quick rigging, making TETRA1 a flexible and powerful solution for concerts, television, theatrical productions, and event lighting professionals.
