Iconic luminaires are instantly recognisable in the lighting world, and as a proudly Czechia-based manufacturer, Robe pays homage to the past with the creation of a new icon—the SVOPATT™. This next-generation fixture is a powerful tribute to lighting heritage while embracing forward-looking design and technology.
The SVOPATT™ is built to make an impact both as a dramatic scenic element and as a high-performance lighting tool. It features nine individual modules, each incorporating 7 x 40W RGBW multichips, with a central pixel enhanced by a 200W white LED strobe. With a total light output surpassing 75,000 lumens (measured via integrating sphere), it delivers a formidable presence on any stage or production.
Robust optical performance is maintained through Robe’s RLCT™ lens coating, which protects the optics from scratches and scuffs while minimizing particle adhesion, helping them stay cleaner for longer periods. This technology ensures consistently high light transmission and reduces the need for frequent maintenance.
The SVOPATT™ offers expansive control flexibility. It supports ArtNet and sACN for seamless pixel mapping and includes RGB and CMY colour mixing modes. The variable CCT control spans from 1,700K to 20,000K, while the onboard DataSwatch™ library provides 66 preset colours and tones, including popular white points. It also includes tungsten emulation to replicate the warm fade of traditional lamps.
Each module is equipped with a motorized, noise-dampened zoom mechanism that ranges from 3.8° to 50°, giving designers the versatility to craft tight beams or broad washes. Quiet operation is key, especially in sensitive environments, and in quiet mode, the fixture produces a sound pressure level as low as 18 dB(A). Coupled with Robe’s Cpulse™ technology for flicker-free performance and +/- green content control, the SVOPATT™ is exceptionally well-suited for broadcast and film studios.
Communication and system integration are streamlined through REAP™ (Robe Ethernet Access Portal), while Epass™ technology ensures network continuity even when the unit is powered off. To preserve the iconic form factor, an external power supply is included with the fixture.
The luminaire’s build includes a proprietary optical system with a high-efficiency 13:1 zoom ratio and M-CEC™ system, which synchronizes zoom and chamber movement to produce shadowless output. The fixture supports individual pixel control, strobe effects, and pre-programmed pixel animations, all enhanced by Robe’s L3™ dimming for ultra-smooth transitions.
The SVOPATT™ is operated using the latest Robe Navigation System 3 (RNS3), featuring a QVGA touchscreen with battery backup, gravity sensor, and built-in service tools. It supports a range of protocols including DMX-512, RDM, ArtNet, MA Net, MA Net2, and sACN, with optional wireless CRMX™. Control channel configurations are available in four protocol modes, allowing detailed customization.
Manual pan and tilt allow for precise physical positioning, while its operating temperature range spans from -5°C to 45°C, with a surface temperature rating of up to 80°C. The dedicated driver unit handles power management, drawing up to 2400W from a 200-240V supply.
Physically, the SVOPATT™ measures 435 mm in height without the yoke and 545 mm with it, a width of 1005 mm (1162 mm with yoke), and a depth of 216 mm. It weighs 39.7 kg, with the separate driver adding another 8.9 kg. Rated at IP20, the fixture is CE and cETLus compliant, meeting stringent safety and performance standards.
