The Axyl Stride is a versatile family of outdoor step lights designed to provide safe, glare-free, and visually comfortable illumination while blending seamlessly into architectural spaces. Available in both square and rectangular shapes, these wall-mounted or recessed luminaires come in two sizes: a compact square version and a medium rectangular version. The luminaire is offered in four standard finishes—grey, anthracite, black, and white—allowing it to complement a wide range of architectural designs and color schemes.
One of the standout features of Axyl Stride is its excellent asymmetric light distribution. By directing light precisely downwards and close to the wall, it ensures safe pathway and stairway illumination while maintaining dark-sky sensitivity, eliminating unnecessary light spill, and protecting the night environment. The light source is recessed within the housing, providing premium visual comfort and total glare control. With a high-quality COB LED engine, the luminaire achieves CRI 90 across all available color temperatures—2700K, 3000K, and 4000K—ensuring natural and accurate color rendering suitable for both residential and public spaces.
Designed for both flexibility and durability, Axyl Stride can be installed either as a surface-mounted luminaire, where its slim 30 mm body creates the illusion of a recessed fixture, or fully flush using an optional recessed mounting box. This accessory is available separately for both versions, ensuring complete installation adaptability. The luminaire integrates a non-dimmable driver for simple On/Off control but can also be paired with a remote DALI-2 driver, ordered separately, for advanced lighting control and system integration.
Built to withstand demanding environments, Axyl Stride combines a die-cast and extruded aluminium housing with a double powder paint finish, stainless steel screws, silicone gaskets, and double grommets to guarantee reliability and corrosion resistance (C3 class). The luminaire achieves IP65 protection against dust and water ingress, as well as IK08 impact resistance, making it ideal for outdoor applications where durability and safety are essential. With a lifetime rating of up to 70,000 hours at L80 B10 (Ta 25°C), Axyl Stride delivers long-term performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
Available in two distinct formats—200 x 200 x 30 mm for the square version and 270 x 115 x 21 mm for the rectangular version—the luminaire gives designers and specifiers flexibility in shaping their projects. Operating in ambient temperatures from –20 °C to +50 °C, it is suitable for a wide range of climates and applications. Electrical Class I certification and a low-risk classification (RG1) further ensure safety and compliance.
