The Time Recessed is part of the extensive Time family of linear LED luminaires, engineered for high-performance and visual consistency in modern environments such as offices, schools, laboratories, and other public spaces. Designed with precision and flexibility in mind, this recessed system supports installation in a wide range of acoustic ceilings—whether with visible or concealed panels—making it ideal for diverse architectural and ceiling conditions. Its unique design ensures that the luminaire aligns flush with the ceiling, regardless of the edge detail or ceiling type, creating a clean, integrated look.
Constructed with a robust frame in extruded aluminum and cast aluminum end caps, Time Recessed combines durability with refined aesthetics. The system enables the creation of uninterrupted, visually striking lines of light throughout a space. Four diffuser options are available to tailor light distribution and appearance to specific needs. Additionally, the Time track variant allows for even more design freedom by replacing the direct light source with a DALI track. Available in two lengths, the Time track sections can be mixed with luminaire segments to maintain a consistent design language while enabling individual control of track-mounted fixtures via DALI.
Time Recessed is engineered for simplified installation and greater cost-efficiency. Its recessed mounting system is compatible with various T24 ceiling profiles, including those from Ecophon (A, E, Ds, Dg, Dp, Lp, Master Ds) and Rockfon (A, E, X, M, Z). Designed for ventilated spaces, the luminaire features a narrow 66 mm width (excluding the L-profile for ceiling tiles) and requires a demounting depth of just 80 mm. Installation of system units is optimized for placement between carrier profiles at 100 mm centers.
The luminaire comes with an integrated high-efficiency LED light source, available in 3000K or 4000K, with a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 90. These next-generation CRI 90 LEDs offer approximately 20% improved efficiency compared to earlier models, minimizing the energy performance gap between CRI 90 and CRI 80 options. The system supports Tunable White upon request, allowing further customization of color temperature for different applications or user preferences. The energy classification of the luminaire is Class D.
Time Recessed is equipped with a Philips LED driver with Touch and DALI control for smooth, flicker-free dimming from 1% to 100%. The driver includes a pre-programmed Constant Lumen Output (CLO) to ensure stable lighting over the product’s lifetime. For advanced applications, the fixture can also be configured with a smart driver that supports Organic Response—an intelligent lighting control system that monitors energy usage and performance data for optimization.
The luminaire’s weight varies depending on size and system configuration, ranging from 2.1 kg for a 574 mm single unit to 8.6 kg for a 2974 mm single, and from 3.3 kg to 6.2 kg for system versions. As with other Time luminaires, 90° corners are available with standard right-hand orientation, while left-handed versions can be produced on request. For systems utilizing Organic Response, additional consultation is recommended for optimal layout and programming. The Time Recessed is also available in black or grey finishes at no extra cost, offering additional versatility in design.
