The fixture features a robust optical system with a large 220mm front aperture, offering a smooth motorized zoom range from a tight 4.5° beam to a wide 45° wash. This flexibility allows the Brutus to cut through long distances with precision or fill large spaces with rich, even light.
Color capabilities on the Proteus Brutus include a full CMY color mixing system and a linear CTO filter, along with a six-position color wheel that includes a High CRI filter and UV. The entire framing system can be indexed +/-90°, offering ultimate flexibility for theatrical effects or broadcast-specific lighting control.
Control and connectivity options are extensive, supporting DMX, RDM, Art-NET, and sACN protocols. Users can access a full-color 180° reversible LCD menu via a six-button touch control panel. The fixture includes 5-pin XLR DMX in/out, IP65-rated RJ45 Ethernet in/out, and IP65 locking power input for robust connectivity in outdoor conditions. With four DMX channel modes (25, 36, 34, and 56 channels), and features like motorized focus and hibernation mode for energy savings, the Proteus Brutus integrates easily into professional lighting setups.
